Neapolitan coffee roaster since 1936. Still here.

A Neapolitan coffee roaster the city has known for four generations: ours. Same site, same way of roasting. We import, select and roast in Naples. No middlemen.

1936 – THE ORIGINS

Alfredo Resi started out with one simple conviction.

"Good coffee is never improvised. You study it, you choose it, you roast it. And then you start again."

That was the idea that brought Alfredo Resi, a Neapolitan entrepreneur, to the port of Naples in 1936, when jute sacks were arriving from Brazil. He imported green coffee directly and supplied it to Italy's first roasteries, at a time when almost no one else did.

Alfredo's conviction — that good coffee is built upstream, not corrected downstream — is the same one guiding Resi Bras S.r.l. today, run by the fourth generation of the family.

Our story

1936 – 1978

Brazil Company

From an import business started by Alfredo Resi in 1936, Brazil Company S.p.A. was formally founded in 1946. The name recalls the Brazilian route where it all began.

Resi Bras

The second generation gives the company its structure. From pure importers, the family starts roasting in-house. The roasting site in Naples takes the shape it still has today.

BrasCafè

The BrasCafè brand is born. The Neapolitan coffee roaster becomes the family's specialisation. Four generations on, BrasCafè coffee is distributed in Italy, Europe and the United States — always from the same site.

THE SUPPLY CHAIN

From green bean to cup. No shortcuts.

We import green coffee directly from the ports at Trieste, Genoa and Naples. We check it in our own laboratory. We roast it in Naples, at the same site since 1936. As a Neapolitan coffee roaster, we don't buy pre-roasted coffee to resell under our name. We buy the green bean at source, we select it, we transform it here.

Green coffee selection

Origins selected in Central and South America, Africa and India. Every lot is cupped before it enters the factory.

Direct importing

We import from the ports at Trieste, Genoa and Naples. The jute sacks reach our factory with no middlemen.

Neapolitan roasting

Twenty minutes of drum roasting, one blend at a time. A slow method that industrial haste has forgotten.

Ready for the cup

We grind and pack here: beans, ground coffee, ESE pods and capsules. The same coffee, ready for every machine and for the moka pot.

800 kg of coffee roasted every hour
15 min the length of each roasting cycle
10,200 ESE pods packed every hour
7.5g the coffee in one espresso, as Naples demands

Neapolitan coffee roaster: everything under one roof, since 1936.

We import, select, roast, grind and pack.
All here, under one roof, just outside Naples.
Our Neapolitan coffee roaster doesn't subcontract roasting by others.
Coffee carrying the BrasCafè name is coffee that has passed through our family's hands.

OUR COFFEE

You've seen where it comes from. Now taste it.

We import green coffee directly from the ports at Trieste, Genoa and Naples. We check it in our own laboratory. Beans, ground coffee, ESE pods, capsules. Six blends for the bar, five for the moka pot and home espresso

OUR PEOPLE

Four generations. The same surname on the door.

In a sector where most historic brands have passed into the hands of funds or multinationals, BrasCafè is still a family-owned Neapolitan coffee roaster.
From Alfredo Resi's business in 1936, to the founding of Brazil Company in 1946, to the structuring of Resi Bras in 1978, right up to today: the family is the same, and still signs off every decision that matters.
Resi Bras S.r.l. is led by Paolo Resi, Managing Director and Sales Director. He represents the fourth generation, and personally oversees both the development of the BrasCafè brand and private label partnerships with clients in Italy, Europe and the United States.

We have been importing, roasting and packing coffee since 1936, always in Naples.

Care in selection

Before roasting well, we choose well. The green bean is where everything is decided.

Neapolitan roasting

Slow time, a drum method, a city that has made coffee a language of its own.

Certified transparency

Certified ISO 9001, BRC Food, FDA-registered, CCPB Organic, Kosher and Fairtrade. Trust is built on facts.

COFFEE CULTURE

There's a story in every bean.

Coffee is an agricultural product, a daily gesture, a cultural ritual. We tell the story of its origins, its methods, its vocabulary.
